Welcome to Intro to Creative Writing!
This 7-week online course will be a mixture of literary analysis/evaluation and creative writing, both of which will work in tandem to hone better creative writing skills. This course focuses on fiction, encompassing story elements and strategies related to the genre. Upon the completion of the course, participants will produce a refined draft of a short fiction short.
After taking this course, participants will achieve specific learning goals:
-Participants will be develop and refine a clear definition of what makes a good story.
-Participants will develop an understanding of specific story elements.
-Participants will refine story evaluation skills.
-Participants will develop a stronger command over their writing style.

—No textbooks will be required for this course. You will be provided online texts.
—Meeting days are Thursday @ 7pm.
